CERQUA RIVERA DANCE THEATER - SOCIAL MEDIA PROGRAM

I was asked to lead a social media educational program for the Chicago based dance company, CRDT. I created educational material to teach their social media managers how to create an effective content calendar and gave them actionable steps towards creating relatable video content that had the potential for virality. While the program was short-lived, their metrics improved and their social media managers were better equipped to run their social accounts.

BEST OF JAXWILLBEJAX TIKTOK COMPILATION (2020-2024)

My TikTok was mostly centered around Guatemalan-American culture, musings, and funny moments. My most popular video was hilariously one where I was talking about sunscreen (which I made to test the TikTok Shop feature for any potential clients).

ANDROMEDA EPISODE 1 - ‘DOOR’ (2024)

Created, wrote, directed, and acted in this web series aimed towards exploring the experiences of first-generation college students. This project won a IAP Grant in 2023 presented by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events.

KASIA - END OF OUR TUNE (2024)

Co-directed, shot, and edited this music video for local jazz pop artist KASIA. This was a two-day shoot with a small crew, and multiple locations.

JAXWILLBEJAX - WANDERLUST (2023)

Co-produced and co-directed this music video with Mario Soto and Aidan Kranz over the span of 5 months.

LUCKY GIRL SYNDROME @ OVERDRIVE STUDIOS (2024)

I was on set for this live session as a camera operator and props master.

JAM SESSION SERIES @ MEX STUDIOS (2024)

I pitched this series idea to Mex Studios, a local Chicago recording studio, as the owner was looking to gain more clients through his online presence. I assisted with camera, lighting, and booked some local musicians for this jam session. This series is currently ongoing and was very successful in improving the studio’s metrics.

UNTOLD STORIES RECORDINGS PROMO (2024)

This is the most recent work I edited for Untold Stories, a Pilsen-based recording studio. I helped this small company start and build their online social media accounts and presence, and am currently their go-to video editor for larger projects.
